Roman Kemp has revealed the heartbreaking 'real reason' he left Capital FM as he admitted to 'living the same day over and over again' after his friend and show producer passed away in 2020
Roman Kemp has officially left Capital FM, saying farewell in an emotional final show just last week alongside co-stars Sian Welby and Chris Stark. And now, he has also revealed the real reason it was time to say goodbye after a decade working for the company.
Roman continued: "The bosses at Capital know this and I said it, it's difficult, I went through such a horrible moment in that room in that studio, four years on and I've been living that same day over and over again, without the awful event. For me, I'm quite ready to go 'OK, close that door now, don't keep going back living that horrible day over again'."
Roman also thanked listeners for bringing him joy during his struggle with depression. getting emotional as he said: "I've had moments on this show where my whole life outside of work is completely down the pan. There were times where I didn't want to be here anymore. There have been moments where my life outside of this room has been the worst thing ever."
