The Rochester Police Department is now operating with four patrol sections, instead of five, as part of a new reorganization plan now in effect.
Six officers and a sergeant will be dedicated to downtown foot patrol, and the department’s Special Events Division will add a targeted detail for the East End area from 11 p.m.-3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
