Robert F. Kennedy Jr. speaks at a campaign event. His decision to leave the Democratic Party and run as an independent adds lots of complications to the race. The Sunday New York Times had a front-page story headlined “Migrant Wars Forcing Biden to Alter Stand.”
I suspect that’s why last week President Biden went back on his campaign promise that “There will not be another foot of wall constructed.” when Vice President Kamala Harris made an appearance there and said the administration would eliminate the “root causes” of immigration in the countries the migrants are fleeing. There are more than 10 such countries, so good luck with that.
There’s a presidential candidate who promises to put a stop to that – and his name is not Trump. It’s Kennedy. Don’t miss the best in editorials, opinion columns and commentary from NJ.com writers.
