Ayda Field admitted she considered giving her engagement ring back to Robbie Williams after she was 'banned' from talking about their wedding plans soon after he proposed
Robbie Williams' wife Ayda Field has revealed that she was "banned" from talking about their wedding plans for months after he popped the question.
While appearing on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, Ayda revealed: "We were together three years before he proposed and I think in his head that's how long it took him to even come round to that concept. There were three break-ups before that. But he got there. She continued: "Five or six months later he took me on a boat for my birthday as a surprise and he gave me a watch. On the watch, it said 'Set a date shipmate'. I thought you had to set the date. And then he was like 'No, you know what that means, let's set a date to get married'."
Due to the nature of dating a superstar, the newlyweds were unable to enjoy a lengthy honeymoon as Robbie had to work the day after their nuptials. Working around his hectic schedule, the couple celebrated their 12-year wedding anniversary in August and have been together since 2006.
