The president of the Football Association of Wales has confirmed Rob Page will remain in his post as Wales boss.
Wales football's top official has confirmed Rob Page will continue as national team manager despite the failure to qualify for the Euro 2024 finals.
Football Association of Wales president Steve Williams has moved quickly to remove doubts over Page's future.Page, 49, signed a deal in 2022 to take him through to the next World Cup.Williams said: "The FAW can confirm Rob Page is their manager for the forthcoming campaign in accordance with his contract.
"Rob is the manager. His contract runs to the end of the World Cup and that is how we continue to work." There will, as is routine, still be a review of the latest camp and campaign. But there is no appetite within the association to remove Page now as they believe the squad is still a work in progress under him. There had been tensions between Page and FAW chief executive Noel Mooney during the campaign but the pair held talks to clear the air, understood to have been instigated by Williams.
