Crossing the 100-yard plateau for the third time in four games since claiming a role in UTSA’s offense, Barnes, a redshirt freshman, is averaging 6.7 yards per carry this season. Traylor said Ogle-Kellogg needed an IV before the game to treat cramping but delivered a strong performance, blemished only by a missed block and a wide-open drop on a screen pass.Coming into last week’s game against UAB, Clark ranked as UTSA’s leading receiver with 732 yards and eight touchdowns this year, while Ogle-Kellogg had just one catch for 14 yards.
“He’s a playmaker,” Harris said. “I just tell him to go out there, have fun, and play football like you’ve been doing your whole life. He went out there and did that and made big plays for us.”Through the first nine games of the season, Traylor began to get the sense that the harder he worked toward forcing turnovers, the more they seemed to slip through the Roadrunners’ grasp.
The Roadrunners put the culture pillar of selflessness in focus this week, and Traylor said Rodriguez is a prime example for the variety of roles he serves on scout teams.
