Rio Ferdinand says a man who racially abused him will have to 'have to face consequences for his actions' as he thanked all those involved in securing his conviction.

And posting on X, formerly Twitter, following the verdict Mr Ferdinand thanked him and all those involved in the case.
Arnold, of Stone Staffordshire, was previously banned from games for three years after being found guilty of homophobic abuse and making gestures which mimicked disability during the same game. He was also ordered to pay almost £900 in fines and court costs, West Midlands Police said.
