Jay wrestled on the first-ever Ring of Honor show.
In 2022, The Briscoes had a series of three matches for the ROH Tag Team Championship against FTR, the first being at Supercard of Honor in April. The last match in the series was the acclaimed Double Dog Collar match at Final Battle in December.
Jay was also a former two-time Ring of Honor World Champion and held the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship twice. Outside of ROH, the Briscoes held the IWGP Tag Team Championship in NJPW and the Impact World Tag Team Championship.On Twitter wrestlers from ROH, AEW, WWE, and beyond paid tribute to Jay.
