Rightmove shares open 4% lower after company says CEO will step down
Rightmove PLC said Monday that Chief Executive Officer Peter Brooks-Johnson has decided to step down from the board and leave the company, effective from February 2023.
The online property portal said Mr. Brooks-Johnson will continue as CEO until the announcement of the company's full-year results for 2022 in February, and will assist with the recruitment of his replacement and a smooth and orderly handover period.The company continues to make good progress with its strategy implementation and performance in the year to date has been expected, with full-year expectations unchanged, it said.
I look forward to working with Peter to ensure a smooth transition and given Rightmove's strong market position we are confident we will attract a high caliber successor," Chairman Andrew Fisher said.
