The owner’s wife is Mandalay’s chef, Latt Naing, who relies on Myint family recipes. Don’t eat meat? The vegetarian platter brings together spanakopita so crisp you hear the phyllo shatter, beets splashed with balsamic vinegar and dusted with crushed pistachios, and creamy gigante beans sauced with tomato.
