Rev. Jesse Jackson reacts to the death of George Floyd saying, 'if Floyd murdered a white person, he'd be in jail today.'
, who died Monday while being arrested by Minneapolis police, Rev. Jesse Jackson said Thursday.
Jackson, 78, came to Minnesota on Thursday to speak with religious leaders and implored Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman to press charges against the four former Minneapolis Police department officers involved.who was killed by an NYPD officer also came to Minneapolis to speak to protesters. Protesters should continue to take action until charges are announced, Jackson said. He said black people have been"brutalized without consequence" for decades.
