Consumers should check tamper-resistant seals on meds and foods due to retail thefts.
Thefts have been happening in retail stores as well as drug stores, pharmacies, and grocery stores. But sometimes it's not obvious like a smash and grab.Retail theft has been a major issue the last few years. From big smash and grabs by crime rings, to people simply stealing medications, foods, and other items right out of packaging in stores.
Pharmacists say thieves can also take pills and vitamins right out of the containers, close them, and put them back on shelves.
