People in Carrington were evacuated over reports of a 'suspicious package' inside a property. Police called to the scene at 1pm on Friday said searches were ongoing as officers investigate the circumstances of the incident.
Chief Inspector Amy Styles- Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This is still an ongoing investigation and we will endeavour to carry on providing further updates as this incident develops. “I’d like to thank the public for their understanding and patience, and ask that they continue to avoid the area at this time.”
Plasterer Mitchell Costin, 33, said: "I’d just finished work but I’m not allowed in. I was trying to go in but they told me that no one was allowed through.
