Locals have been told to avoid the area as well as keep windows and doors closed.
Residents have been evacuated and a rest centre has been set up following a huge fire at a block of flats in Fife.
Footage from the scene shows flames pouring out from the roof of the building. Police have now urged locals to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke and have advised people to avoid the area. There are currently nine appliances from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service trying to put out the flames.
"Officers are assisting with a number of road closures and diversions are in place. Please avoid the area if possible. Some residents have been evacuated and a rest centre has been set up at the Lochgelly Centre on Bank Street for anyone affected.
