Republican David McCormick announced his second bid for a U.S. Senate seat from Pennsylvania on Thursday in Pittsburgh. In 2022, McCormick lost the GOP Senate primary to Dr. Mehmet Oz, who eventually lost to now-Sen. John Fetterman. PITTSBURGH — Republican David McCormick made official on Thursday what has been widely expected for months: he is taking another shot at a Pennsylvania U.S. Senate seat.
McCormick, a West Point graduate and decorated Army combat veteran, went through a list of supposed failures by the Biden administration, including not securing the southern border, increasing crime, decreased domestic manufacturing and energy production, and out-of-control inflation that has sent costs soaring for gas, rent and food.
One advantage McCormick should already have is decent name recognition among Pennsylvania voters after his bid in the Republican 2022 primary for Senate ultimately won by Dr. Mehmet Oz, who lost to now-Sen. John Fetterman.GOP has already coalesced around him
