NEW: Four more Marlins players reportedly test positive for coronavirus

Baseball is getting a quick lesson on just how quickly the coronavirus can spread, as four more Miami Marlins players have reportedly tested positive, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

Marlins remain in Philadelphia. One of previous team members to test positive had a subsequent test come back negative, source says. Would need two negatives at least 24 hours apart to become eligible to return. https://t.co/EG0HkVib9P Because the Marlins were visiting the Phillies at the time of the outbreak, the Phillies’ game against the Yankees on Monday was also postponed. Word came down early Tuesday morning that MLB has now postponed the second game of that Yankees-Phillies series, with the Yankees now traveling back to New York to practice.

The Marlins are still in Philadelphia, and the infected personnel will stay there, per MLB’s safety protocols. Players need to have two negative tests 24 hours apart before they can return. The Marlins, meanwhile, are also looking for more players they can add to their team, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, for when they’re able to play again.
