Donald Trump talk to reporters during a meeting of his cabinet in the Cabinet Room at the White House February 12, 2019 in Washington, DC. Trump said he was not happy about the compromise legislation agreed to by Republicans and Democrats that would prevent a new partial federal government shutdown but said he would accept the deal.

Bolton declined to cooperate with the House impeachment investigation and House Democrats declined to subpoena his testimony because it could have led to a protracted court fight; Bolton offered to testify during Trump’s Senate trial, but Republican lawmakers refused. Bolton taunts Trump in the final sentence of the back cover, telling him it’s “Game on,” despite the president’s attempt to delay publication of the book.
