Rep. Van Taylor confirms he had an affair. He plans to withdraw from the runoff, which makes Keith Self the GOP nominee for Texas’ 3rd Congressional District.
PLANO, Texas — Rep. Van Taylor, R-Plano, made a shocking announcement Wednesday he will not continue his campaign to seek re-election to after reports of infidelity.
The announcement comes after media reports claimed a woman had an affair with the representative and he sent her money. Self released a statement saying he plans to focus on building confidence with voters and winning the general election.
