When Kevin Cronin and REO Speedwagon are center stage in the 1,600-seat familiar space for one performance 8 p.m. CST March 24, they will be joined by a new face on stage, Derek Hillard, newest member of REO Speedwagon.

Hilland, 55, began touring with the band in February 2023 with Cronin, the latter who is hailed as one of the original members of REO Speedwagon, having joined the band in 1972. Longtime band members Bruce Hall and Dave Amato are also included for REO Speedwagon’s 2023 tour. Cronin said his late father, Kevin “Ted” Cronin, who died in 2019, was an identical twin, and so the younger Cronin remained equally close to his dad’s twin brother, “Uncle Bob.”
“And that same excitement has never disappeared. I’m still in awe of Stephen and so many other legendary talents.”
