A remote Scottish community has been separated from the rest of the country for almost a month after a landslip in early October cut off a crucial road connection.
An isolated community in Scotland has had an important road link cut off for nearly a month following a major landslip caused by record-breaking rainfall.
Much of the debris remains almost a month after the incident, blocking the peninsula’s access to the nearest town, Lochgilphead. Residents could still face weeks of disruption following the landslip. "Many of these businesses won’t survive six weeks with no income. We are still open, we’d love to see you and it could be a great time to enjoy a deal or a discount."
The yearly Craignish Christmas market at the local village hall is set to go ahead on November 18 and 19, with many local businesses pinning their hopes on a large turnout.
