Matthew Jones, 32, was sentenced at Newport Crown Court after pleading guilty to causing the death of 28-year-old Nuria Zamel Casino.
A man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for causing the death of a woman while driving under the influence of drugs. Matthew Jones was sentenced on Wednesday at Newport Crown Court. The 32-year-old had pleaded guilty to one count of causing death by driving without due care and attention while unfit through drugs. Nuria Zamel Casino - the front seat passenger - was injured in the collision in Caerphilly and later died in hospital.
The collision took place on the A472 between Crumlin and Hafodyrynys at about 3.50am on Saturday 14 January.
