The cult TV show 'Party Down' is back. SF caterers say the show is true to life, recounting Russian czar dinners, wasp stings and $200 tips.

Each episode of the show revolves around a different event. In the series opener, “Willow Canyon Homeowners Annual Party,” the host, played by ubiquitous character actor Enrico Colantoni, becomes overly friendly with catering bartender Henry Pollard , trying to fit in more with the staff than the guests.
"Party Down," which just rebooted with a third season, depicts several aspects of the catering industry well — including the presence of overly friendly clients.Most catering workers are not looking to become plus-ones on international flights, but for some — like Jane Lynch in the show, for example — the personal connection is one of their favorite parts of the job.
“It’s the creative license of writing TV comedy,” Mick said. “They say the things you wish you could.”
