Ranked first in the state in Division II and seeded first in the district tournament, Ready is primed to pursue its first state title since 1973.

After stepping down as boys basketball coach at Dublin Scioto following the 2012-13 season, Tony Bisutti left his options open for a return to the bench.

Ready was the Division III state runner-up in 2002. It also reached Division III state semifinals in 2010 and 2014.“When I was out and looking at jobs that were open and thinking if I wanted to get back in, my daughters went to school here, so I have a little previous knowledge of the people here,” said the 61-year-old Bisutti, who went 270-136 in 18 seasons at Scioto, winning two district titles and six league championships.

The title comes in Ready’s final season in the CCL. Teams at the West Side school will begin competing in the new Central Buckeye League next school year. Russell was averaging a team-best 17.3 points through 21 games, followed by Schaffer and Ruth . Russell and Schaffer are 6-foot-5 forwards and Ruth is a 6-2 point guard.
