The 27-year-old was shot by police in a Wendy’s parking lot on Friday night as he broke free from officers trying to arrest him.
CCTV shows Brooks appears to have obtained one of the officers’ Tasers and was running across the parking lot before turning and appearing to point the device towards officers, before he was shot and fell to the ground.on Saturday, while another officer involved, Devin Bronsan, was placed on administrative leave.Protesters in Atlanta have called for the officers involved to be criminally charged, while Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said the use of deadly force was not justified.
