Man Utd are back in Champions League action this week and they badly need a win, with Rasmus Hojlund impressing in the competition so far.
When Manchester United were looking at their options for signing a forward in the transfer window, the demands of what Erik ten Hag wanted were at the forefront of their minds.
Ten Hag wanted something different. He wanted a proper striker, the kind of player that has been back in vogue in recent years. Harry Kane can do both, but when he was removed from the list, it was Rasmus Hojlund who fitted the bill. It hasn't been a perfect start to his United career from Hojlund, who is still yet to get off the mark domestically, and for all the flashes of brilliance - especially in the Champions League - there have been games he has struggled to influence.
It should allow United an out ball when under pressure and give runners the chance to go beyond him. There have been times he has used possession well, most significantly against Arsenal on his debut when his smart play helped create the chance from which Alejandro Garnacho scored, only for VAR to cut the joy short.
