The Toronto Raptors have waived Jeff Dowtin Jr., Justise Winslow, and Mouhamed Gueye as preseason comes to an end
The organization waived Dowtin, Mouhamed Gueye, and Justise Winslow, the team announced Friday night. Gueye and Winslow were on Exhibit 10 deals and will join the Raptors 905 in the G League this year.
Toronto had signed Dowtin to a two-way contract and was reluctant to offer him a standard deal last season. The organization eventually opted to keep Will Barton under contract, making Dowtin ineligible for Toronto's brief post-season play. For the Raptors, Dowtin's departure means Malachi Flynn will be the team's backup point guard behind Dennis Schröder. He is the only other traditional point guard on a standard contract for the team.
