Philippe Clement and his troops booked another Hampden day out after dumping NINE man Hibs in the capital
Rangers are still in the hunt for a domestic Treble after overcoming nine-man Hibs in a heated Easter Road battle.
Obita was then heavily involved moments later as he brought down Dujon Sterling in the box for a penalty. James Tavernier was denied by Marshall but John Lundstram reacted quickest to bundle home the rebound and send the away fans wild. Sterling then forced a big save moments later with a carbon copy of the situation he had with Obita just minutes before.
Tavernier then forced Marshall into a low save with 55 minutes on the clock as he guided an effort from range towards the corner but the veteran got down well to push the ball away from goal after an awkward bounce off the turf. The action swung back to the other end and this time Butland denied Emiliano Marcondes from a free-kick from range as he dived to push his effort away from goal.
Cole McKinnon would be denied a third late on by the offside flag. James Tavernier's thumping effort fell to the youngster who slotted home - but it was quickly chalked off. They also hold a two point lead over Celtic at the Scottish Premiership summit with just nine games to go. That includes two huge Old Firm derbies in what will prove an exciting end to the campaign.
