Now, let’s be honest: Three months ago, a meaningful Eovaldi start would’ve felt a touch more like a slam dunk. He allowed a season-high seven earned runs in his final regular season start, a 3 2/3-inning outing against the Seattle Mariners on Friday. It’s harsh on paper, harsher considering the importance of the game.And yet, there were positives. Positives, at least, regarding how Eovaldi may perform in Wednesday’s game.
