The Englishman took to X after a clip of teenage shotstopper Ava Easdon from the Sky Sports Cup final between Partick Thistle and Rangers was posted - and Ava's dad has since hit back.
Ex-Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has been faced with backlash on social media after he aimed criticism at a 17-year-old goalkeeper.
Easdon has been a star performer for the club since arriving on loan from Glasgow City. She was also named Thistle's player of the month in February.It read: "Inspiring young girls everywhere. Barton's time north of the border was a disaster. The 41-year-old appeared only eight times for Rangers, including in a 5-1 loss to fierce rivals Celtic.
