Rangers could be powerless to resist if the right offer comes in for captain James Tavernier this summer,the Ibrox club are reluctant to sell Tavernier, 32, amid reported interest from Steven Gerrard’s Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq.
It has been claimed that Al-Ettifaq and other PiF-owned clubs are interested ahead of the summer window. Rangers are not ready to allow Tavernier to leave the club as they feel he is key to their chances of competing in the Champions League next season.that “money talks” and if the right offer arrives, the Glasgow giants could be forced to consider.It is believed the priority for Tavernier remains with Rangers, but any offer from the Middle East is likely to be lucrative.
