Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar
Ramadan will start in the coming days, with more than a billion muslims across the world observing the holy month.

UKIM says Ramadan provides "a great opportunity for Muslims to immerse themselves in their faith, with many choosing to recite the Holy Qur’an from start to finish". Once dawn breaks, Muslims who are fasting must not eat, drink, smoke, swear or engage in any sexual activity.
What can you do during Ramadan? UKIM says Muslims are allowed to continue to take any medication or injections that a doctor has prescribed throughout Ramadan, and that this include eye drops although these can be admitted before and after fasting hours, where possible.
