Fighters from RAM Martial Arts in Rutherglen secured 18 medals and finished second overall at the recent Welsh Championships. Fraser Byers and Rebecca Reilly were crowned champions in their respective categories. Master John Reilly expressed his pride in the team's success and their reputation as national champions.
Fighters from RAM Martial Arts in Rutherglen have been showing their class again, with another impressive weekend of competition.
The team was crowned national champions recently for the second year running at the the Scottish Open Taekwondo Championships, having scooped 48 medals in total. At the event, Connor Goudie was presented with his ‘overall champion’ award from the Scottish Open event with EITF president, Grand Master Prewett, crowning the fighter.Coaches appointed to Scotland roles There was more good news for RAM recently, this time for their instructors.
Malky has also amassed a vast knowledge and experience over the years as a competitor, and latterly as a coach in the international setup. John and Malky established the RAM Martial Arts and Fitness Centre in Rutherglen in 2018, before opening their new facility in Stewarton just last year.“I’m looking forward to coaching the squad.”
