The wet weather is set to continue in Scotland as the Met Office has issued a yellow warning for rain covering large parts of the country.
The wet conditions will likely result in spray and flooding, creating difficult driving conditions and possible road closures as well as other traffic and travel delays. The Met Office is also warning that the heavy rain could result in power cuts in some areas, with flooding of homes and businesses as ell as damage to some buildings as the wet weather continues.
The Met Office said: "A mostly unsettled picture across the UK for much of this period, with a mixture of sunny spells and showers, but also the potential for longer spells of rain from time to time. Some of the showers will likely be heavy and thundery at times." "With time, low pressure is forecast to become centred to the northeast of the UK, with higher pressure trying to edge in from the southwest", the Met Office added
