Thousands are set to pay their respect to the late monarch today
Mourners from across Scotland are expected to descend on the capital today to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II following her death at 96.

Already people have been lining the streets in their thousands with Edinburgh Live reporting that locals and tourists have been spotted camping out hours early for the last chance to see the Queen before she leaves the capital. After departing Scotland, the late Queen will be taken to Edinburgh Airport by RAF flight to Northolt - just outside of London - where she will then be driven to London accompanied by Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, for her state funeral.
