Lin did so because he wanted to test the response of house hunters to the unit.
When he confronted her on Nov 15, 2020, she said that the contents of her listing were provided by Gideon. Mr Gavin Ng and Ms Magdelene Sim, prosecuting officers for CEA, said that Lin claimed that he had two resale units at Whitley Residences. He said in his e-mail: “After much consideration, I’ve decided to come clean with the details. I that I’ve given inaccurate information the statement and am aware of the consequences… and truly it.”
