Daniel Farke’s Leeds United face a winnable set of fixtures either side of the international break
Georginio Rutter’s predatory strike sealed all three points for Leeds United when they faced runaway leaders Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. It has been a record-breaking start for Enzo Maresca’s Foxes, but Daniel Farke's Whites headed back north with the win, and the gap to the top cut to eleven points.
That defeat for Leicester was just the second time this season they have failed to pick up all three points, after losing to Hull City early in the campaign. Next up for the leaders is a tricky trip to Teesside to face a resurgent Middlesbrough, before hosting Watford after the international break. Trips to Sheffield Wednesday and West Brom follow, before Maresca’s side take on Plymouth on Filbert Way.
West Brom’s impressive form has seen Carlos Corberan’s Baggies make it three wins in as many matches. Out of the promotion contenders, they undoubtedly face the toughest run of the next few weeks with away matches at Southampton, Cardiff and Sunderland, as well as the small matter of hosting both Ipswich and Leicester at The Hawthorns.
