Dozens of activists have blocked the factory in a protest over the UK's links with the Israeli arms industry.
Pro-Palestine campaigners have blocked the BAE Systems shipyard in Glasgow in a protest over the UK's links with the Israeli arms industry. Activists are currently gathered at the site in Govan amid their calls for a ceasefire and an immediate halt to the killing of civilians in Gaza.
BAE Systems is a UK defence company that manufactures components required for the F-35 aircraft - which has previously been used by the Israeli army. It comes as part of a UK-wide movement on May Day, with further action taking place south of the border.A BAE Systems’ spokesperson, said: “The ongoing violence in the Middle East is having a devastating impact on civilians in the region and we hope the parties involved find a way to end the violence as soon as possible.
