The principal of a Lisburn school has issued a statement to parents after a pupil was injured following an alleged assault.
It is understood that a girl who did not attend the school entered the premises before allegedly assaulting another girl.The Principal of the school, Mr J Martin, issued a statement to parents this morning following the incident saying that pupils should not be anxious about attending the school and that the injured pupil is well and being cared for at home.
"The pupil hurt in the attack is well and being cared for at home. The perpetrator has been apprehended by the PSNI. "The school will continue to work with the PSNI and other agencies. I assure that all that can be done is being done.
