The late royal was known for her love of practical jokes and often played cheeky pranks on her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.
The late Princess Diana was praised countless times for raising her two sons Prince William and Prince Harry as normally as their royal circumstances would allow.
One hilarious trick she played on William gave him such a scare he ended up falling down the stairs with embarrassment. In an interview to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his late mother's death, William opened up about a particularly memorable prank that Diana had played on him when he got home from school.
"I was completely and utterly sort of awestruck. That was a very funny memory that’s lived with me forever about her, loving and embarrassing and being the sort of joker.” He explained: "She'd spend hours looking for jokey things for their stockings. One year, Harry got fake dog poo." He also said how Harry not only loved the gift but had a very cheeky plan on how he would use it as he plotted a prank on his dog-obsessed grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, with it.
He recalled that Diana would play "all sorts of songs" while "driving along, singing at the top of her voice" to help relax him and his younger brother Harry on the drive back to school.
