Bar Pintxos in Preston City Centre has closed
An announcement from owner Anthony Smith on the popular eatery’s Facebook page said he is taking a step back to concentrate on family matters.
“Not because of increased rises/ costs or financial related matters but due to family commitments, I am incapable at this moment of being able to commit my time to this project the way it requires, and to the standards you expect and deserve. “Reviews from local, regional and national media outlets has been amazing. Comments in the Observer / Guardian from renowned food critic Jay Rayner has been a particular moment of pride along with so many other kind words.”Anthony went on to thank those who have been involved in the Bar Pintxos journey over the past 18 months.Maria Milson said: “So sad to read this. I love popping in for my Cava. You will be missed.
