The first arrest was on 10 April and related to a stop search conducted on a male, who the community had contacted the force about being involved in selling drugs.He was found to have an extendable baton and after a further search, several wraps of suspected cocaine were located, with two mobile phones. He was arrested but has since been bailed.
Large quantities of cocaine were found in his rucksack. His address was searched and further quantities of cocaine and cannabis were found alongside thousands of pounds in cash which were seized. Michael Brennan, 43, of Broughton Street, was charged with possession with intent to supply controlled drugs of Class A, money laundering and driving offences. He was remanded to appear at Preston Magistrates Court. The 33-year-old female has been released on bail.response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire.
