Premier League and EFL fixtures have been postponed this weekend as a mark of respect for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Sports had been told there was no obligation to cancel events this weekend, but were advised they may wish to cancel anything scheduled for the day of her State Funeral. The Government guidance stated: “There is no obligation to cancel or postpone events and sporting fixtures, or close entertainment venues during the National Mourning period. This is at the discretion of individual organisations.
