As Power Rangers Cosmic Fury’s release date comes closer, more has been revealed about what is technically Dino Fury season 3.
Dark Ranger Heckyl Will Be In Power Rangers Cosmic Fury The Cosmic Fury trailer reveals that Dark Ranger Heckyl, a character that originally appeared in Power Rangers Dino Charge, will be on the show. While Heckyl was in Dino Charge, the Dark Ranger never appeared in any of the Power Rangers TV shows. The Dark Ranger comes from Dino Charge’s Super Sentai counterpart, Kyoryuger. More specifically, the Deathryuger from the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Gaburincho of Musicmovie.
Power Rangers’ original Blue Ranger and the Dark Ranger can be seen fighting side by side with four of the Cosmic Fury Rangers in the trailer, teasing an exciting crossover. Considering that Heckyl only became the Dark Ranger after the events of Super Dino Charge, Cosmic Fury may have to spend a few minutes explaining who that character is. Heckyl is from a planet called Sentai-6, and he is now the protector of the Dark Energem.
This Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde-type of dynamic made Heckyl and Snide some of the most interesting Power Rangers antagonists in years. Heckyl was eventually redeemed, helped the Dino Charge Rangers, and promised to rebuild his world. At the end of Dino Super Charge, Heckyl became the keeper of the Dark Energem, which seemed to be the end of his story. Despite the setup for Heckyl to become a Ranger powered by the Dark Energem, this never happened.
