Power Rangers' Zordon isn't gone after all.

As the 30th Power Rangers season, Cosmic Fury was set to be filled with nostalgia. The series, which only had 10 episodes, delivered on the aspect, of featuring iconic Power Rangers characters and locations.
Power Rangers in Space’s “Countdown to Destruction,” the two-part finale that concluded the Zordon Era, ended with Zordon’s death. Zordon sacrificed himself to save the universe, asking for Red Ranger Andros to destroy his tube and unleash the Z-Wave. Zordon’s death was a game-changing event in the Power Rangers timeline, and it was now cleverly retconned in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.
Zordon Returns In Power Rangers Cosmic Fury Power Rangers Cosmic Fury features Zordon in what is the first canonical appearance of the Power Rangers’ mentor in the TV shows since his apparent death in Power Rangers in Space. While Zordon’s physical body did not appear, Cosmic Fury episode 10 revealed that Zordon was not destroyed – the Power Rangers’ mentor continues to exist. After In Space’s ending, it was assumed that Zordon was gone forever, as the tube that kept him alive was destroyed.
What Zordon’s Return In Cosmic Fury Means For Power Rangers For 25 years, Power Rangers avoided retconning Zordon’s death. The show had countless opportunities to bring Zordon back to life, especially because of how mysterious his death was. Zordon did not have a physical body for most of Power Rangers, meaning that bringing him back to life would not require complex explanations. Still, from a narrative standpoint, it made sense for Power Rangers to avoid resurrecting the Eltarian sage.
Fortunately, Power Rangers Cosmic Fury's ending episode handled Zordon’s return incredibly well. Firstly, Zordon took the form of one of Cosmic Fury's characters, Zayto, who is now also part of the Morphin Grid. In addition, Zordon is not necessarily back – he continues to exist in a different plane, separate from the world of humans. Power Rangers Cosmic Fury also avoided using Zordon as a Deus ex machina to save the day.
