On 11/27/19 at 3:49 AM ESTA huge explosion has occurred at a chemical plant in Texas, forcing a mandatory evacuation of local residents in the area. The blast at the TPC Group plant in Port Neches occurred just after 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning.The Nederland Volunteer Fire Department's wrote on Facebook that there is a mandatory evacuation for everyone within half a mile of the plant.
People have described feeling the effects of the explosion from miles away, including in neighboring Louisiana. "There is search and rescue inside the plant but there is also damage to nearby homes so we'll be going door-to-door checking on these people and their homes," Holmes added.
