Thurland Hall currently closes at either 11pm or midnight
A popular Nottingham pub wants to stay open until the early hours of the morning as people are given three weeks to have their say on the idea. Thurland Hall on Thurland Street is currently open between 10am and 11pm apart from on a Friday and Saturday, when it stays open until 12.
The venue now wants to amend this so that it can stay open until 2.30am seven days a week. The pub's application to Nottingham City Council says that alcohol would be sold until 2am before the closure of the venue half an hour later. The Grade II listed pub was built in the Victorian era and is currently owned by The Craft Union Pub Company. Other sites owned by the company include the Greyhound Inn in Arnold and the Jolly Angler in Beeston.People can make their views on the application known by getting in touch with Nottingham City Council, with a deadline of June 26 having been set for people to have their say.
It comes after another Nottingham city centre business also recently revealed plans to open until the early hours. The Popeyes restaurant on Upper Parliament Street wants to open until 12.30am from Sunday to Thursday and until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
