A number of businesses will be on show
A popular festival that has welcomed thousands of visitors in previous years is to return to the city centre. The popular Green Festival will be held on Sunday, September 11 in the Arboretum from 12noon until 6pm.
The stalls will be a mixture of education and information from environmental campaigners, creatives, organisations with a focus on building a brighter future, urban farmers and organic gardening among many others. There will be a knowledge garden where talks will take place on many different subjects surrounding the climate crisis. Labour MP Nadia Whittome will speak at a discussion by Nottingham's Young People Vs Climate Change. Other talks will include panel discussions on the one change that visitors could make per month to be more eco-conscious.
Nottingham vegan burger favourites Mocky-D will be on hand at the festival to provide their tasty street food. They will be joined by Vork pies, Clemie's vegan cakes and Coco's cheesecakes. As the weather looks set to be hot at 22 degrees, there will be plenty of options for vegan ice creams with V-ice screams and pola ice poles.
