Watchdog calls for review into government use of private messaging appsThe Information Commissioner's Office has called for a review into the way government officials use private messaging channels to conduct official business.

Mr Javid admits"perhaps I should have left earlier" when quizzed about his time as health secretary, but says he kept giving Boris Johnson the benefit of the doubt. He adds that the political situation was starting to"feel very familiar", referring to the Tory party's defeat in 1997, saying:"The way things were going recently, I feared our party was on a trajectory to the same electoral oblivion once again."
In an obvious swipe at his former cabinet colleague Rishi Sunak, who has also declared a bid, he continues:"I don't have a ready-made logo or a… video ready to go." The former health secretary also vowed to cut a slew of taxes and hold an emergency budget to increase help for households if he was chosen as Tory leader.Meanwhile, Mr Javid said he would bring forward an income tax cut, halt a corporation tax rise, and scrap an increase in social security contributions.
