The road was closed for several hours
A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash which closed a busy stretch of the A52 Brian Clough Way for several hours. Police were called to the collision on the eastbound carriageway near Risley, between the A5111 at Raynesway and junction 25 of the M1 near Stapleford, just before 1.35pm on Monday .
Emergency services attended, and the motorcyclist was found to have suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition. and eventually reopened at about 9pm. Derbyshire Police have asked anyone travelling on the A52 in that area, or with dashcam footage of the moments before the crash, to come forward.
