Granite School District Police and West Valley police are searching for a man who may have attempted to kidnap a child at Whittier Elementary.
WEST VALLEY CITY —
The girl fought back and screamed for help, the school district said. The girl was able to get away from the man as an employee approached the scene after hearing her cries for help. The man immediately fled the area.Police are following multiple leads to try and identify the man, who police believe is a juvenile but could be in his early 20s. Police said the man is about 150-160 pounds, around 5 feet, 9 inches tall and described as "light-skinned African American/Somalian or Hispanic.
